Andrew Gifford’s visit to Chile

Here are a couple of pics from Andrew’s fishing trip to Chile. He caught a lot of fish – mostly in lakes: his companions were after big fish, Andrew generally prefers river fishing.

For those who know the “Purple Job”, he did try fishing dry with it but no success! A concoction called the “Woolly Bugger” which has a black woolly body and maribou streamer tail fished on a sinking line worked well. The biggest fish were caught by his pals, spinning.

His impressions suggest a country with lots of rivers and lakes which are rarely fished and are full of fish!
